It's humiliating to have a religion.

It's humiliating to have defined yourself in any terms whatsoever that is unnecessary.
And it's also the only way that we become a kind of complete human being.
So all of this is, and I think it's universally, shockingly, upsettingly embarrassing.
And again, I think that goes back to like why he's an actor, because I think that actors have to sort of wrangle with that, have to have that kind of like horrible head to head with the soul.

And maybe it's an escape from it as well.
But I think anybody who creates anything or facilitates the creation of anything.
It's maybe part of what he's missing, I think, as an eraser in a way, is that actually, and he is somebody who sort of sees himself as lacking some essential components of the self.
And I think in a way that's what he's not doing is actually being enough of himself.
The way the therapists talk about the therapeutic use of self, which I think is a really useful thing.
It's like you can't be completely absent from any, however objective, relationship it's meant to be.
So you do kind of feel that he is probably a very good actor.

And I think time's just sort of ticked on and I think he's just lost...
