But he stated that he didn't believe Lindsay suffered from psychosis or a hallucination of a man's voice telling her to commit the killings, which has been referred to throughout this trial as a command hallucination.
Instead, he testified that he thinks Lindsay's own intrusive thoughts were to harm her children.
He said these thoughts were unwelcome, but claimed they were very much Lindsay's own thoughts.

Hellbrunn completed his testimony and gave the prosecution one of its most definitive opinions yet that Lindsay was suffering from serious mental illness, but still understood that the killing of her children was wrong.
