Because that's the version of the Republican Party.
That's the brand of conservatism they want.
And that's what has converted and moved them over.
Those areas are where we are seeing some reversion back.
And I think we just have to recognize that for some of these people, they spent 30 and 40 years or their entire lifetimes voting Democrat, and they just started voting Republican.
So we can't take those for granted.
Some of them are clearly shifting back or at least moving into this undecided category.
I don't know if I'm going to vote Democrat or Republican in 28.
And so I think Donald Trump being in Corpus is really important.
That broadcast throughout South Texas, his presence there will be known, him spending time there, Republicans spending time there, the party focusing on those areas.
And I know that everybody is kind of aware that this is an issue and a problem we can't take for granted.
So I think that the Hispanic vote, the rural Hispanic vote, which is primarily in South Texas, is going to be a real key number when it comes to holding our statewide margins.
I would go back to those first 100 days in office.
I think we all looked at just how fast everybody was working and how much they were focused on delivering on their promises.
People were excited.
People felt it.
It is really, really hard for an administration to keep up that kind of pace throughout an entire two-year portion of time.
I believe and I think we all know that there is a window where Republicans can
shape and define the framing what people are talking about in the fall and it starts tonight and so for president trump to say this is what we have accomplished but here is what we are now focused on that lies clear contrast there's many different things he could talk about but i do think
that ultimately as they focused on the corruption in DEC, the insider training with the Stock Act, the SAVE Act, keeping our elections strong, those issues that are 75, 80% issues that will show people just how radical the left is are really important to draw a line on.
