So the fetus makes GDF-15, and the woman then begins to feel.

Now you might wonder why would that happen?

Well it's to protect the fetus because the m the m the wom woman might eat eat a poison or something nasty in the diet, you know?

And then the fetus makes a GDF-15 and then the woman then either stops eating the stuff that's bad or maybe vomits it out.

Mm.

You know, just so it's a natural process that every woman of every fetus will make GDF 15 and then have these effects on the women.

So it's a big breakthrough because now we know you know the chemical that the the the fetus makes

That causes the vomiting and the nausea.

You've got you've got it exactly right.

He's Irish and he's in Cambridge.

He gave a big talk on this, you know.

So basically this must have evolved because we have a wide diet, and the risk then of a poison coming in then was higher, you know.

And then the fetus will start to make this stuff to make sure that the woman stops eating, or as I say, gets rid of it.
