Uh, they don't think testosterone is a good answer to this.

This is a very serious point.

Men will take testosterone supplements because they want to build muscle.

The trouble is it's a very powerful hormone.

If you take too much, it stops.

sperm being made, isn't that strange?

So the body kinda has a reset mechanism.

In in biology you often see these negative feedback effects actually.

So small amounts will trigger it.

If the testosterone gets too high you shut it down a bit 'cause you don't want too much sperm.

So if you have too much testosterone, it'll turn it off very strangely.

So we don't think that's going to be the answer.

Unless you can control it very, very carefully, which most people don't do because they order this stuff online.

They take loads of it, you know, and that's not good.

In fact, that can have other side effects like risk of heart attack.

And all kinds of problems with taking too much testosterone.

So that may not be the answer.

The answer might be and this isn't a great one, can you grow sperm in a lab?
