Yeah, for me, and it's not even close, it was sitting in the broadcast booth at BMO Field, sorry, Toronto Stadium, in that opening game for Canada in the World Cup.
A seat that I've been able to be in over the course of the last two decades, calling games in Major League Soccer and various different Canada games, and that national anthem ringing around that stadium.
in my home surroundings, knowing that my family and some friends were all in the stands and experiencing it as well, and that the World Cup at that moment was arriving in Canada, it was almost perfection.
The way it was sung by Alanis Morissette, the whole crowd, the energy around it, coming in this first game.
Kyle Lahren's goal, of course, was a bonus in that first game, but the one moment for me,
was just that Canadian anthem in the opening game and looking around from pretty much the best seat in the house, sitting there right on halfway in the broadcast booth, with the anticipation of what was to come after that, but just that single moment of...
Yeah, this is it.
Canada is on the world stage and right now it looks incredible to everybody who is watching all around the globe.
So that's the moment that will stick with me.
