How many hours a day do you take driving to and from these appointments?

Anyway, it's not just the cost of it, though.

The court's going to say, okay, if one person's going to have the child the most and these are the expenses, then the court may tweak the percentages to allow that familiar home or any home

to be there for the kids.

I think it can get taken in a general way for that, that the court can say, okay, that's what's going to happen in the future.

They don't anymore look at how much child support you are going to get or may get in the future or have been supposed to get.

They're just looking at what you actually got.

So if someone's

not chipped in during the lead up to trial and you're bearing all of those expenses, then the court can make towards the higher range of their discretion in a percentage adjustment to property for that.

And we all know, of course, that the child support agency can adjust the amount you get paid

depending on these medical appointments.

And I wonder sometimes if that's why a person who might otherwise be paying more child support wants to resist any suggestion that the children need these additional supports.

And that's a terrible thought.

But yeah, I think sometimes money is a motivator.

Yes, I can tell you that isn't the case, the 18-year-olds, and I don't think anyone.

But except the child support agency goes, 18 or finish high school, whichever comes the later, then you're out.

And the Child Support Act does not apply.

But there is a thing called adult child maintenance.

And we used to have it quite a lot in the old days where children were at uni or for some other reason, they needed more support until they found their feet.

And the court would order adult child maintenance, usually to be paid to the person with whom the child lived.
