What we're not talking about is $93 billion in education funding that only about 40% goes in the classroom to the teachers and the students and
for curriculum and things like that, the basics.
There's this whole other chunk of the money, 60% of that money is going to other things.
Charter schools are real estate deals at the core.
So these are real estate and business deals.
You just had Representative Keith Self on, and he unknowingly, or hopefully unknowingly, is supporting the Islamization of Texas through privatization because he supports vouchers.
He couldn't get reelected if he didn't support vouchers.
Right.
I mean, Trump did an auto pen endorsement for anybody who supported vouchers.
He stepped in just before the vote.
We had the votes to kill the voucher subsidies because it's not a conservative principle to give subsidies to private entities with our public tax dollars, our taxpayer dollars.
It's not conservative.
It actually grows government.
It creates a whole new lane of education that we, the taxpayers, will have to absorb.
So we're going to have to absorb the schooling of Muslim children.
Right, because people think that, oh, we're going to drain these woke DEI-driven public schools in favor of these voucher and choice options, right?
No, that's not actually true.
Now, you could lose some students who leave the public schools and take the voucher and go elsewhere.
But really what it does is we absorb...
a new crop of students.
