So Texas has 5.5 million kids in the public schools.
So we have kids in the public schools.
We have charter schools.
That's the second lane in a redistribution of wealth that came in the 90s.
Now you've got the voucher lane because it just passed.
The governor had four special sessions.
This was his number one issue.
It's the only thing he cared about.
He didn't care about all the other top Republican Party priorities, like the border and election integrity.
property taxes, all those things.
He only cared about school choice.
That was the thing.
And so, okay.
So going back to let's, let's go back to the history of where this choice thing came from because Milton Friedman wrote that he's, you know, the Jewish economist who's kind of the father of school choice and the, the,
the free economic system, right?
So he writes a paper in 1955, The Role of Government in Education, and kind of proposes this voucher idea of taking the privatization where you can take the funds and divert them to your own private school of choice.
Then in 62, he wrote a book about capitalism and freedom.
So this is when I say that it's ironic that it actually undermines our freedom.
This agenda that came from him, and then you've got Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who's also Jewish and converted to Christianity, but he came from
