Obviously, the players are getting paid.
Obviously, it's not slavery, people.
But ain't that neocolonialism, though?
Now, of course, the players have a choice, right?
The players have a choice.
They're the ones who are choosing to sign with the agents and the agencies and so on and so forth.
It's their choice at the end of the day.
It's not like anybody's flinging a rope and making a lasso and trying to grab men from the Caribbean and try to sell their wares, right?
It's not like they're being forced to do it.
But I would say that some people are making some uneducated decisions.
I'm just wondering and I'm just asking, do people have the wider welfare of these cricketers as their number one priority?
Do they have the wider benefit of West Indies cricket as their number one priority?
Let me tell you something.
Every young cricketer in the Caribbean, even now, despite all the defeats, despite all the cuss-outs, every young cricketer growing up in the Caribbean still has the dream that I want to play for the West Indies one day.
If you take your craft seriously...
like take someone like Zeeshan Matara Zeeshan Matara I don't know Zeeshan Matara I've never spoken to Zeeshan Matara but I'll tell you that Zeeshan Matara wants to play for the West Indies one day he probably also wants to make T20 money because he's in the here and now and this is his generation and this is his culture but I guarantee you he wants to play for the West Indies one day I get let me pick another player I guarantee you Nathan Edward doesn't want his West Indies career to just stop at under 19 level I guarantee he wants to play for the West Indies one day
But if you are someone who is an agent of not just young, but just West Indian cricket talent, you must have the same eyes that I have.
Right.
So when you're watching these players.
Right.
