So it's like there could have, like you look at, there are animals where it's like they're in environments that they're very well adapted to.

and they're not really struggling.

Well, again, I personally don't have an opinion on the module thing, so it's actually not something that I think is true.

It's just something that I'm kind of putting out there.

I'm genuinely open about mechanisms.

I could hear any side of the story.

But I do think that there is some interesting shit here.

For example,

There's the studies that we've talked about before where when men are primed with scarcity, such as when they're hungry or when they're acutely poor or when there's a local famine, they shift to preferring larger women, right?

And that seems to suggest that there may have been some fluctuations in how valuable larger women were that selected for some.

Yeah, and there are very realistic depictions of obese people in prehistory.

I know it sounds surprising.

Yeah.

So I think that there probably were some cases.

You won't find it in modern hunter-gatherers because they've been pushed out by the agriculturalists to these places that are really difficult to live for the most part.

And there is paleoanthropological evidence of these massive kill sites where it's just like you wouldn't believe how many animals they were killing.

So it seems like they may have been doing okay in some cases.

But I don't know.

Again, the module thing, it's not something that I've thought very deeply about because it's not an interest area for me.
