So that's the fundamental issue that we have to do.
And those kids...
And parents, we need to rise up against that.
We need to encourage our schools to make changes.
And we need to help our kids at home to learn how to become creators, become contributors.
One of the biggest things that I'll hear about from parents is they'll say, well, my kid doesn't seem that excited about anything.
He sort of just goes through the motions.
And I think one of the biggest ways to motivate a kid is help them find something that they're interested in and then support them.
And at the same time, hold a high standard to be able to say, hey, I know you're capable of doing something really big with this.
So maybe there's a kid who loves mountain biking.
Mountain biking is fun and that's where he would spend his time.
And as a parent, you could say, okay, let's take this interest that you have in mountain biking and let's see how you can further develop it.
Maybe you could teach a class to younger kids and start a mountain biking club.
Maybe you could develop some apparel that answers a need in mountain biking.
Maybe you could design your own mountain biking course.
You know, there's all kinds of things you can do.
And I actually love that example because we had a student at Alpha who loved to mountain bike.
And one of the projects that he worked on through his time at Alpha was he ended up creating the largest mountain bike park in the state of Texas.
and built a profitable business out of this passion.
And this kid is now 20 years old, and he's a wonderful guy.
