The thing with Cody is we are unsure whether he's using this old man to get a bunch of money or if he like genuinely cares for him.
It's that trickiness with caring and especially with Alzheimer's where sometimes there can be a bit of moral grayness perhaps.

I mean airports are places where time doesn't exist.
Anything goes.
But um I would I would add in terms of the structure of this novel, it was reminding me a lot of trauma plot novels.
The idea being that
It's the kind of novel where something bad has happened and we're constantly circling around it, circling around it.
And so the core of the book is really an abscess.
It reminded me of Tom McCarthy's Remainder in a way, a story where something of a falling object crushes this dude and he gets like six point five million dollars and then
tries to recreate an apartment building that once made him feel something.
It's a crazy book.
Um but this was kind of that, using that structure, but it had heart.
And that's what I loved about it.
It wasn't just someone playing with form.
It really the sentiment came through in a way that was really beautiful.
I mean, I'm I'm a crier in books, I will say, and this was I was all tears for the days that I was reading this book.
