It's a short story collection called Hot Little Hands by Abigail Ullman.
I came across this years ago at the Sydney Writers Festival and I haven't read a book of short stories like this ever and and and and since.
And they're all about young women in various contexts.
There's, you know, one that's about a an academic who doesn't want to finish her PhD, so she decides to have a baby instead.
There's another one about, you know, girls who are trafficked in the gymnast world, but they all have a kind of clarity.
They reminded me of Shekov I the sons.
I'm I'm now fangirling, but I just think they're brilliant.

I would say I write contemporary literary fiction that deals with women attempting to understand life in late capitalism.
