Um, okay, this is in the realm of great Australian books for the top 100 Australian books.
I cannot go past Melina Marchetta's looking for Ala Brandy.
You know, sue me.
It is a brilliant book.
It is about the second-generation immigrant experience in Sydney.
It's about girlhood, it's about family.
It just sums up so much of what it is to be Australian at that time in the world.
world and whenever I go overseas and I want people to kind of understand where I'm from, I just make them, you know, read that book.
And then the other one is a bit more of a curveball, less well known.
