engagement baiting there's a lot of engagement baiting that happens on shorts but it's honestly like not as as effective as people think like it's doing stuff like oh comment this and I'll I'll DM you for a giveaway or comment this and I'll do that.

And it's like it's all very gimmicky.

Oftentimes people will like disregard videos like that.

It'll kind of like make people want to scroll more.

But I think for the younger audience they'll probably play into that, right?

If you say, Hey, comment key and I'll give you a key, then they'll they'll all comment key very easily.

I think some of the more clever ways to engage in bait is to do stuff like, for example, uh

have a very, you know in like a uh you can have a text hook that explains what the video is without actually

How do I explain this properly?

So textbooks are really interesting because you can use them to front load your video for what they can expect.

So if I'm playing a horror game, for example, and maybe 30 seconds in, I'm getting jump scared.

I want my creators to sit around for or I want my audience to sit around for the full 30 seconds because then my video will get pushed more.

But why would they sit around watching some guy navigate some dark scary hallway unless they know that something's gonna happen?

And so commonly a lot of people will do like a text hook, oh my God, you know, I did not expect that, or something to kind of like bait people into sticking around.

And that's incredibly important.

Watch time is the metric that is is preferred the most on short form platforms, which is why text hooks are incredible for people keeping people around if you set up expectations for.

or what they can see in this video if they if they stick around, or what they can be rewarded with if you know what the pay if the payoff is worthwhile essentially.

I think it's getting saturated and I think um that kind of hook is good because it's simple, right?
