No questions for sure, just some comments.
You know, listen, it goes without saying that affordability and affordable housing continues to be a top priority for this city council and certainly within
Charlotte City Council District too, anytime we get the opportunity to work with a partnership group that is assembled tonight and provide an opportunity for the community that really, really makes sense, I'm excited about.
And I was excited about when I got the phone call months ago about what was bubbling underneath the surface and the work that the team has been doing to bring this proposal to the council tonight.
I'm glad that we're here.
I'm glad that we're discussing it publicly.
I'm glad to entertain any questions, comments from the various neighborhood associations up and down the corridor.
But thus far, no one has contacted me.
But those who have had, maybe one or two, I shouldn't say that, maybe one or two, but they were very supportive about what they were hearing and just wanted more information.
And so now that the information is out, I look forward to communicating with you
Bishop Alexander and your team to answer any questions from any neighborhood leaders, continue to work with staff to make sure that we get the right product on the street and worthy of certainly my support and support of the residents of District 2.
