All the things that you would expect a leader to be, it's about showing those things on the regular, not just lip service and talking about it.
From a system standpoint, I think the teams that are structured in a way that the guys understand what is expected of them are usually the most successful.
in terms of how we want to play if you look around the NHL.
the game's not getting any slower.
So it's going to be a very up-tempo style game, high energy, high tempo.
But when you look at the teams that I've coached and the way I want them to play, they are going to be very structured.
They are going to be very intense with a very high premium on execution and doing things the right way.
That for me is the way I want it to look.
And those things are going to be implemented on the daily again in practice.

How intense are our practices?
Will dictate a lot of how we're going to look on game night.
Um, well, when I talk about those same things, the energy and the body language, um, obviously I want the staff to reflect that, um, guys who are
motivated to come in and have that same mentality of wanting to get better and obviously with a young group there will be a great deal of teaching so the ability to teach goes along with your ability to communicate the message so the staff that i'm looking for again will be along the same lines as as myself guys that truly enjoy being at the rink
truly enjoy helping young players find their path and find their game and have the energy to do it on a daily basis.
That's kind of the overview of what I'll be looking for.
I think the messaging for our entire group, young or old, if you've been here one year, if you've been here five, six, seven years, is that the expectation will be the same for everybody.
It's not about I'm a young guy, I've got to cut my teeth, I've got to be the hardest worker, and then now I'm an older guy, I can take my foot off the gas, I'm established, I'm here.
