oftentimes it's met with you can't struggle you're you know you're you come from a certain viewpoint you come from a certain sense of privilege i think these are actually the politics what your mom and i say you have every advantage and yeah we're knuckleheads but go on no no no no you're you're you're you're not um i'm right now my parents home right now so i got to tread carefully on what i can say and i don't i don't think i could say my mom's a knucklehead in fact she's the reason why i've done everything i've done to this point um

I'll just say that I think when it comes to the bro sphere and when it comes to these echo chambers, I think this bro sphere thing is honestly reflective of multiple echo chambers.

There's many different spheres that are emerging of people that are like-minded that are joining their own specific groups.

And then honestly, you have a cycle of externalizing problems.

You have a cycle of compounding on each other.

And I think what happens is that we build these echo chambers that then just drive radicalization.

And this is not just, I think, a young man problem.

I think there's a problem across groups, political groups, tribal groups, identity groups.

And I think we have to start breaking down those barriers.

Well, I think it's important to say that I work with students across the country that support Trump.

I work with students across the country that support Democrats.

I believe that we as individuals exist different from the people in power.

I think that we should not let our views of the people in power dictate how we treat each other as human beings.

I think that's honestly a big reason why we are where we are today.

You come to a BridgeUSA chapter, you come to a place on campus.

This is the only place, Don, oftentimes kids are like, I can actually say what's on my mind in a productive way.

Like it's not some like shouting match on Twitter, right?

It's not like everyone's being quote unquote platform, but people can have structured conversations with norms of discussions where they can listen, they can hear.

That feeling of, oh, my God, I can let myself be free for a second and then realize that the pushback that I get actually is not challenging my identity to the core, but it's just maybe challenging my argument.

Like that gets something.
