There were a lot of people with Germany jerseys there that spoke English.

And so I was like, okay, these might be people from Kitchener, Ontario.

Yeah, so I unfortunately was living abroad when the Olympics were here.

I was doing my master's in Amsterdam, so I missed that.

But I have done World Cups in the past, and it feels just the same.

Despite it being so spread out, the host cities do feel like tournament cities.

And that was my biggest worry, that we wouldn't have the same feel as we have

if it was in Europe.

Now, the one thing I would have to say still, the travel, the distances are enormous, right?

We are more used to it than maybe the Europeans are.

But there too, I think the Europeans that have come or from other countries, they've kind of embraced it and just turned it into this

almost like journey, you know, passage of right of passage to experience this North American lifestyle.

And so maybe there's not as many, but I think the ones that are here are really enjoying it.
