What I think the this part of the challenge this added amendment by Mia Bonta was to add a bigger fee and Jail time I believe So it was going to make it even worse For anybody that did that so and I still hasn't gone through it's it's past a certain stage but it hasn't gone through fully so
It was challenged by Carl DeMaio and other Republicans.
But of course, you know, there's not much power there.
So it's going to possibly pass.
However, it doesn't mean it can't be challenged.
No, I'm glad that we're doing something about fraud, but like you said, it doesn't really pay to prosecute it.
It pays to create it.
It's easier to have somebody else work and earn that money and then take it away from them.
So that's the problem.
But I think the more we talk about this, the more we have, you know, having J.D.

the frauds are and having um individuals like nick churley which going back to that bill is important that our journalists or anybody that any of us can talk and put and challenge government and challenge anybody that's receiving money from government uh ngos um anybody else any contractors anything else like that um the first amendment is
like primary in being able to do this and having somebody tell you you're not allowed to inform the rest of the public about
fraud and people you know or about fraud like where your money's going hello or just even ask questions because when Nick Shirley was just doing this he didn't prosecute for fraud he was just telling the guy where the uh if you're running a um a certain um daycare where are the children
You know, it's just a question.
And if you're not doing any kind of fraud, you'd be like, oh, they're outside, you know, like that'd be just.
He's doing great.
I mean, he's he's fighting back with respect, but he's like they, you know, it's my understanding that a lot of these senators are attorneys, but they seem to forget the law or act as if they don't because they want to put this act on like, oh, Epstein or this.
