But again, being a business owner, you have that flexibility and it was great.
And everybody was so understanding.
So I don't advise anybody go skiing and hurt yourself as a mom of two.
And so after that, things started to take off as far as picking up my caseload.
So I knew from the jump that I wanted to have two days to dedicate to my job.
So I worked two days a week and I set very strict hours.
So for all of the clients that either were coming to me, I either could place them with myself or I would establish a network of other private practitioners in my area that I could refer them out to.
So my goal for every client that ever came to me was I'm going to help you.
I might not be that person that is going to be the one, but I'm going to steer you in the right direction because I know your child needs help.
And especially after the pandemic, I see a lot of kids that are needing additional services.
So.
That happened.
And then one Instagram message turned into a opportunity that Ambiki is a startup EMR company.
They actually have a teletherapy platform right now.
But they asked me to do a paid position as a clinical advisor on their clinical advisory board.
And I had to Google what an advisory board was because, again, as a speech therapist, I thought I was just a speech therapist.
I did not know that I could get paid to be doing something else.
And I really think with that is when other opportunities on social media started for me.
Wow, I can get paid to do something other than treat a child or evaluate a child.
This is great.
