When we moved, I no longer shared an office with TIFF.
I had my own office.
So I can play music out loud without bothering anybody else with my terrible jam bands.
And so I do that a lot more often now.
And also, I have recently crossed the threshold of needing reading glasses at my computer desk.
So I use a pair of 0.5 magnification glasses for my computer desk, but I do need those for clear vision of the screen.
So now that I'm wearing glasses at my desk full-time, it is a little less comfortable to wear headphones full-time.
And I have very thin-framed, thin metal-templed glasses.
I've optimized them as much as I can, but it's still not as nice as not wearing headphones.
I now greatly prefer speakers, and my speaker setup at my desk is a pair of KEF or KEF.
I still don't know how I'm supposed to pronounce that brand, but a pair of KEF at the BQ150s and here in the Long Island house, the LSX2s, which are very expensive.
They used to be less expensive before all the tariff BS and all the recent inflation and stuff.
They were never cheap, but now they're more expensive.
And I have the KC62 subwoofer, which is, again, very expensive.
It's like $1,700 now.
It was, I think, $1,200 when I got it, which I thought was obscene then.
But this is not a cheap setup.
I think, frankly, I think the Q150s sound better than the LSX2s, but they are just much larger.
And for a desk, they are kind of an imposing size for a desk.
