I think the one thing that's really caused difficulty for Zach Bolzak in terms of how he's had to find his identity with the Canadians is with the blues.
He was the trigger man.
He was the the the bumper on that power play with Rob Thomas and Jordan Cairo.
Like he was the goal scorer.
The defensive side of the puck was not necessarily the priority in St.
Louis at the time.
Whereas it is in Montreal.
You start in the defensive zone, you work your way up.
And having to produce at five on five requires you to have certain habits that Martin St.
Louis demands of you.
And change his game a little bit.
And I think that really affected his confidence last year.
Um I don't think there's any excuse for it now, but I think that there's a wall there's
all the opportunity in the world for him in uh this early season, as he will be a regular in this lineup evidently, to work on that aspect so that he can get those minutes because that's exactly what Alex Newhook did to a lesser degree to Cole Caulfield.
