Yeah, Japan, we've said this about a couple of teams.

It's the archetypal, they're well coached, they're well drilled, they know their jobs, et cetera and so on.

And it's true, the way they play.

We saw this at Wembley when they...

And they've managed to carry that on into the tournament, which is quite pleasing.

I was really impressed with them when they beat England.

I mean, England were crap that day, but fine.

That's not the point.

The point is, the way Japan played, there's a clear identity, there's a clear pattern of play, there's a clear strategy, et cetera, et cetera.

And they've just brought that into the World Cup.

And it's going very, very well for them.

So, yes.

But Japan all over smacked of a team that will get to about the quarterfinal.

Yeah, of course.

But I don't think they'll go on to win it.

I just think it's got a heroic defeat to France and the court has written all over it.

And this is it, isn't it?

It's like Chile will do really well when they get to a World Cup and they'll almost always inevitably lose narrowly, maybe even on penalties to Brazil earlier than they should.
