we're gonna do a one hour play date.
And the thing that came up for me was is that like a lot of it is almost like dating again.
Like you're kind of dating
Other parents, you know, figuring out like, okay, who are parents that I think they're, you know, my child might have people who are on their radar list of who they want to invite over for a play date.
And then having a conversation with those parents and really seeing like, okay, we would like to have your child over and
We're looking at like an hour and
Can you just like ask your child if this is something that they'd be into?
And I would make the list and then have these conversations before you even tell the child, hey, I'm gonna call like Ben's mom and I'm gonna see if Ben wants to come over.
Because then you're setting an expectation.
And if Ben doesn't want to come over, then there is going to be the disappointment.
And so kind of doing some of the
research and some of the behind the scenes stuff.
doing that to see like, okay, who are the good fits?
Maybe asking the teacher, are there people that he is drawn to?
Are there people that share similar interests?
So that you can reach out
You know, they might not be able to give you their information, but like you might say, Can you put this in their like a written letter or some you know, just a note into their kids folder and say, Please reach out, like we'd love to have a play date and
Kind of going back to
Things like that.
But it does require vulnerability and going back to the parent, like knowing, okay, if it's not gonna be a good fit.
