I wasn't sure that I was quite ready to give a public service.
It felt like a way to still be involved when I wasn't quite, you know, ready to leave it.
And I
it actually was sort of the most personal growth moment for me in some respects, um, because it was one of the jobs that I left before it just ended.
And that was a personal choice because at some point I realized it wasn't where I wanted to be or the right fit for me for a lot of reasons.
And most of that was my own personal lines in terms of how I think things should be, you know, the business should be conducted.
Um, but it took me, you know, it took me a decade to, to get there.
Um, and so I, like I own that there were times where I, I didn't always make
or show up in that way in terms of the choice, whether it was something small or something larger?
Right.
A hundred percent.
And I think to your point, this isn't just something in politics, right?
It's in any industry, particularly if you're, you know, sort of, you know, playing at the top.
And I think that's why I sort of say, like, I'm not going to be naive about this.
There's a reality of the world that we operate in that, okay, there's some things that are going to be the way they're going to be.
And, you know, to sort of say, if you're going to be in the arena, you're going to be faced with difficult decisions and you're going to have to make the best possible decision you can at the moment.
To me, that's slightly different than where we kind of are today in some of the decisions that are made.
And I think the Plattner one is a good example of that because in some respects, it's like, what is this for and what is it really about, right?
Maybe I'm giving more grace, you know, when you kind of enter into something, believing in an individual and then information comes to light or, you know, things become more complex.
