I think it's because Tiana Taylor and Doja Cat did those ads and they became cool.
I think all the cool celebrities, like their marketing team over at Meta just did it right.
Because I mean, if Doja's wearing them, then it's like, okay, maybe these are cool now.
But beyond the fashionability of them and that part, the aesthetic part of them, the technology has improved.
The AI is making it better.
There are cool new features.
And so I can see why now it's taking off more than before.
Yeah, absolutely.
And so, you know, the privacy issues remain.
The surveillance issues remain.
The glasses have a little red dot that turn on when it's recording.
That's not necessarily easy to notice when it's happening.
And so if you're recording your surroundings at all times...
The other person is not necessarily giving your consent to.
They may not even notice that you're doing it.
The surveillance of it all.
And then the amount of data that Meta is collecting on users and what is being done with that data, I think, has been a longstanding question for the company.
And a lot of consumers don't necessarily trust that the company is using their data appropriately.
And so, you know, these are going to become popular.
More people are going to use them.
