So it could be this month.
It could be next month.
We're just kind of all waiting to see when that drops.
That's right.
And, you know, a lot of these agencies that are being tasked with making this analysis, you know, legal experts say that they don't necessarily have the constitutional authority to do that.
Is it really the jurisdiction of the FCC or the FTC to do this?
And so that's just one of various constitutional issues that we expect to be raised as this executive order is inevitably challenged sooner or later this year, probably.
They're not slowing down, right?
So at the end of last year, I chatted with some folks who thought that this might have a chilling effect on the states, just not wanting to get in the crosshairs of the Trump administration.
Remember, too, that this executive order is tied to federal grants, whether it's internet grants or any others.
And so you could see states not wanting to risk that money coming from the federal government in order to pass these new laws.
But so far, we have seen that states are moving ahead.
You mentioned those
Laws coming into play in California.
There are others in Illinois that have to do with, you know, making sure that employers are limited in their use of AI for hiring decisions.
You have laws coming into effect in Texas that would ensure that the government is disclosing when consumers are interoperable.
acting with artificial intelligence.
And so that's just to name a few.
And we'll also see if the Trump administration decides to maybe only apply this to Democratic states and not Republican states.
So there's a lot at play here that has yet to be seen.
