And so I wouldn't pay so much attention to the dollar figure as I would to what this could bring down the line.

We'll be watching to see if these companies decide to settle, if they decide to keep fighting in court and what Congress does about it, if anything.

This is really a reaction to the fact that there is a lot of anxiety amongst Americans right now over how artificial intelligence is going to impact their livelihoods and their jobs.

We are in an election year.

Tech has never been an election issue, but we're seeing the way that AI is coming up against jobs and the economy in real way.

And politicians know that.

And so this is an effort from the Trump administration to demystify artificial intelligence for the average American who may be worried about what it even is.

This is a basic course.

You know, it's something that you could complete in one week by doing 10 minutes a day, according to the Labor Department.

And it'll teach you, you know, what good prompting exercises look like, what a large language model actually is.

And so this is an effort, I think, by the Trump administration to start to educate the public on what AI is.

The intent is really to demystify the technology as this administration is full steam ahead on its innovation agenda and blocking regulation of the technology.

And so instead of working toward passing safeguards around this technology, which is something that a lot of Americans in poll after poll say they want, the administration is taking on a different approach, which is there's nothing to be worried about here.

It's going to be okay.

And particularly around jobs, there is a way that you can skill up, and this is just the beginning of it.

But to be completely honest, Stephanie, there are no huge workforce development plans that are going on either within the administration, through Congress, or in corporate America.

And so we'll see how much the administration actually builds on this initial step.

Not much, to be honest.

I don't think it can do much.

I think that this is a way to start allowing Americans to experiment with the technology, but a lot of Americans already are experimenting with ChachiPT and with Gemini.
