It's kind of like impacted his ability to kind of throw a sinker for strikes.

And it was really limiting his ability to kind of get deep into game and get a lot of quick outs.

but he was able to kind of just get back in the strike zone consistently last night and just attack with all his pitches.

So I think that was kind of like the biggest change for him.

You know, he has a very competitive mindset out on the mound as well.

So I think that he was kind of able to tap into that and just really turn the page on what had been a really rough stretch for him.

So I think that's going to be really key for him just because, you know, the Giants are also getting some really nice stretches from Logan Webb and from Robbie Ray.

So if they can kind of get Rook back into that mix, then,

it's definitely going to bode well for them heading into the second half.

Well, I think the issue early on was that they just couldn't kind of put it all together.

You know, they would have days where they pitched well, but they didn't hit.

And then they'd have days where they hit well, but they didn't pitch well.

So I think that's kind of just, it was just kind of a struggle to like match up those two things.

And then the other issue had been a bullpen that kind of struggled to hold leads leading games and just didn't really have a lot of defined roles.

But yeah, I mean, I think that for a team in San Francisco, it's always going to kind of start with the pitching, just given their ballpark.

And, you know, they've always talked a lot about trying to pitch around pitching and defense because those were the two attributes that really keyed their, you know, those three World Series title runs in the last, you know, beginning of the 2010s.

So yeah, it is a little bit surprising that they, you know, haven't been able to

really take off just given the amount of talent that they have on the roster.

But there definitely is a potential to perform well, which I think you're starting to see a little bit now.
