And now I'm like, oh, what if this is bad?
It's like at one point, like Ira Glass has talked about, sometimes you ask someone essentially the same question a couple of different ways because you're trying to get a slightly different response because maybe you're like, oh, I like this response, but I need it structured a different way.
Or I like this response, but I want something a little bit different.
And that's a pretty general tactic used by journalists is like, I'm going to ask you essentially the same question a couple of different ways to see if I can get the response that I quote unquote want.
Many times.
We just did one where it was.
No.
And like, yeah, it's like you come in with the data that you've already had.
But it's like, I don't know, every time I sit down for an interview, I think of it as an opportunity to change my mind about something.
And so if I can't come in with that opportunity, I don't know why you would be in a field where the whole job is being a curious person.
Yeah, it's just I mean, the the serial thing, it's I mean, I have all my other I have many qualms with the New York Times.
They've been called out by the American pediatrics like multiple times for their coverage specifically around like trans health care and like how inaccurate they are with that.
And it's garbage.
A lot of garbage.
I mean, there's so many pieces of garbage and it's really unfortunate that such a legacy institution has fallen by the wayside in this manner.
But I mean, Serial has been called out before and even like their very first season, like now on reflection.
And so and here's my thing, too, is like when we're reporting, we report with what we have, with what we have and when we have it.
Right.
And so are there opportunities to reflect back on your reporting and say, hey, you know what?
Things have changed and here's how they've changed.
