In the days after he died, the community again just got in behind us.
The house was cleaned from top to bottom by friends of my mum's and mine.
And just everyone was around, you know, bringing in meals.
Sandwiches appeared from nowhere.
We had this huge fridge in our kitchen that was for James's liquid feed.
And all of a sudden that was full of, you know, apple tarts and things.
It was just lovely.
People bringing in burka boilers or whatever they're called to make big cups of tea.
And the front of our house was trimmed.
The road was made ready for buses because the local bus company put on free buses from the church car park so that people could park there and then come down Arborian without having to stress about driving.
And we got James home.
That was, again, just the most awfully sad thing I've ever seen was him being carried in in a coffin in our patio doors.
It just felt like it was wrong.
The house that he had built and tiled and he'd done the floor, he'd wallpapered it, painted it, absolutely everything.
That was our good sitting room.
And here he was in a coffin all of a sudden.
It was just so weird.
So we all had our time to chat to him and the whole family was there.
It was lovely.
All the way down the road to our house, there was lights.
