We've been raising it in the last number of months and like we've seen little or no response from government.
We've seen a lot of talk, but we've seen little or no response.
And like I said, we saw Grace's Law introduced earlier this year, a lot of fighting talk from government that they were going to get rid of the scourge of scramblers in communities.
And look, I'm still seeing it in my community.
So I think the thing is,
you know, there needs to be a much greater stepping up by government now in terms of response.
Where do you think they are going to land on this, so Marie?
Well, I don't know.
And that's why we're saying we need to use that summer period to make sure that this issue is just, that a blind eye is not cast at this issue and that all of a sudden the political system turns its attention to it in September.
That would be fundamentally wrong.
And I do worry at the moment because I hear others talking about it, that if we just go after retailers,
then perhaps that will solve the situation.
The reality is coming into Temple Street, the average age of a child presenting with an e-scooter related injury and has a brain injury is 14.
So that's not a, you know, a scooter bought in a children's toy shop.
That's an adult size scooter.
So that's the, I suppose, the extent to which the problem we're dealing with at this point in time
And we need to see response by government by the end of this week in terms of what they're going to do.
