And for this, at least in my intuition, you often have to be like,
not maximally nice and you uh sometimes have to refuse what other people want want from you.
And guardrails and laws and so on, they actually do slow you down.
And so
if you maximize one, you lose out on the other.
And so for me there's a question of these factors, they they pull in different directions.
And companies will always try to maximize one
under the constraint of being aligned, right?
They always want to maximize the like actually getting shit done because that is also what solves cancer and what gives us all the nice things from AI.
And so there's really a question for me, first of all, how strong is this in the first place into the direction of getting shit done?
And if this pull is very hard.
How easy is it for us as society to like actually
Pull against this.
has the dynamic between different organizations that are trying to develop these models at the same time, right?
What if, for example, you have company A B and Company A says,
I actually want my model to be super aligned.
And I make this trade off in favor, like I give it more constraints and I and then it just makes less money.
It's just like
Solves less problems.
And then you have this race to the bottom where both companies either actually believe that there is something different or there is in fact a big difference.
