His attorneys have been staying quiet.
They're having to deal with, obviously, the amount of information.
that's coming in from the DA's office.
One of the interesting things that they have been discussing was just the amount of information that prosecutors have collected.
And now during this process, the DA has to provide that information to the defense.
And prosecutors have said it's 40 terabytes worth of data.
And I read somewhere that's like,
enough data for like 300 iPhones or something like that.
So it's a massive, massive amount of data to collect.
You know, if you ever try to download anything on your laptop, that sometimes takes hours.
So imagine having to download 300 different iPhone information.
It's insane amount of information.
So that has been taking a long time.
Normally, when they do have a grand jury that meets an indictment, like you said, it's put forward so they can bypass the whole preliminary hearing.
However, this grand jury, I think their purpose was to gather more information.
And then I'm not quite sure why the DA's office instead decided to formally charge him.
The path that they chose has now led us here.
And so we're waiting now to see what more information will come out in the actual preliminary hearing.
They haven't provided a witness list yet, but obviously investigators would be called.
But one of the things that I found very interesting that doesn't happen often, at least I haven't seen it, was they actually the prosecution actually filed a preliminary trial brief back in April.
