That's not technically true, I don't believe.
Biden Inc. has collapsed. All those Biden grandkids had a lavish lifestyle, which they very much liked. Hunter made hundreds of thousands of dollars, millions of dollars. Joe, as a former president, is not in a position to get the same kind of paid speeches, corporate boards, book deal. Biden, Inc. needs a source of revenue.
And Hunter, even though he was pardoned and he's not going to prison, Hunter does not have great earning capacity. And you look at the rest of the family.
No, the paintings are not worth a lot. So what I'm positing for you guys to weigh in on, Dan first, is my source right, is what at least part of this is about, is the reality that Biden Inc., the trough is empty, the spigot has shut down. They need a way to get back in the game to make big money to have the grandchildren fed and clothed and flown first class, et cetera.
About me? Obviously, he's not a serious guy. He's like a 12-year-old. So I don't take him seriously. I served... Our country in the Navy for 25 years when I was 22 years old, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution. I've lived that oath my entire life. I'm not sure if Elon has sworn an oath to anything. If I was to guess, probably to billionaires like himself.
Someone who's trying to weaken our economy. Donald Trump. Donald Trump. And Donald Trump, as we know, has put, as the Prime Minister just said, unjustified tariffs on what we build, on what we sell, on how we make a living. He's attacking Canadian families, workers and businesses. And we cannot let him succeed. And we won't. America is not Canada.
And Canada never, ever will be part of America in any way, shape or form.
It's called a smart car.
I think it is good that we're at a 25% year low in terms of border crossing. My words yesterday, they were not great. Let me be the first to acknowledge that. And I think what he's doing to our economy and our nation.
Because the notion that the numbers are down, which I think is good for America, and I think the vast majority of Americans realized President Biden didn't have a secure enough border. Those numbers are down. Good news for our country. But the idea that that becomes an ability to sanction ICE to have unfettered immigration rates doesn't make sense. So my choice of words yesterday.
I'd like to take him back. The data does exist on the numbers being down, what we've got to do going forward. And we again heard last night from a president who had a State of the Union that I'll stand by my words, was the least amount of outreach to anybody who didn't vote for him. That doubled down on all the MAGA issues. It wasn't a good night for America last night.
Ben and I went to Washington in May of 24, and we couldn't meet with Biden, because as it turns out, at the time, nobody could meet with Biden. But we were able to meet with senior staff. And so we met with very senior people in the White House, in the inner core, and we basically relayed our concerns about AI.
And their response to us was, yes, the national agenda on AI, as we will implement in the Biden administration and in the second term, is we are going to make sure that AI is going to be only a function of two or three large companies. We will directly regulate and control those companies. There will be no startups.
This whole thing where you guys think you can just like start companies and write code and release code on the internet, like those days are over. That's not happening. The conversation he's describing there, were you part of that conversation?
Mm-hmm.
We had meetings in D.C. in May where we talked to them about this and the meetings were absolutely horrifying and we came out basically deciding we had to endorse Trump.
They said, look, AI is a technology basically that the government is going to completely control. This is not going to be a startup thing. They actually said flat out to us, don't do AI startups. Don't fund AI startups. It's not something that we're going to allow to happen. They're not going to be allowed to exist. There's no point.
They basically said AI is going to be a game of two or three big companies working closely with the government. And we're going to basically wrap them in a, you know, I'm paraphrasing, but we're going to basically wrap them in a government cocoon. We're going to protect them from competition. We're going to control them and we're going to dictate what they do.
And then I said, well, I said, I don't understand how you're going to lock this down so much because like the math for, you know, AI is like out there and it's being taught everywhere. And, you know, they literally said, well, you know, during the Cold War, we classified entire areas of physics.
and took them out of the research community and entire branches of physics basically went dark and didn't proceed. And that if we decide we need to, we're gonna do the same thing to the math underneath AI.
