And he was saying something like, you know, I haven't failed the treatments.
The treatments have failed you.
I thought that was an interesting reframe.
You know, people have tried a lot.
They might have tried transcranial magnetic stimulation.
They've tried a bunch of medications.
They've tried electroconvulsive therapy.
Yeah.
They've tried all these different therapies and meds and whatever, and they're still in the same state.
They feel very stuck.
So that's a very difficult space for people to be in.
And some of the work there is really holding like a candle of hope for people as they re-find it themselves.
That can be really difficult, especially if people come to you after years of being stuck.
It's a really, really hard part of the job.
And also a lot of what's contributing to their stuckness is what's happening to personally and in their networks or their lack of networks.
There's long-term isolation.
There's loneliness.
There's disconnection.
