I just think each of us are responsible elected officials, and we are fiscally responsible with the money that we have.

And if it's something I believe in, and it's something I see that's needed in my district, why can't I have it as a commissioner?

Mr. Mayor, the two separate questions I see here.

First is on a motion to direct.

Motion to direct requires six negative votes, not to bring it up.

My policy has always been, unless I know I'm going to vote against something, then I'm OK with a motion to direct so that it can be drafted and that we can discuss it.

If I were voting now, I would probably be voting no.

But I would like to hear more about it.

So I would be voting yes today as a courtesy, because I don't know I'm going to vote no on it.

So I would vote yes.

I would vote against.

I would not be one of the six votes against it.

However, I would ask you to consider

because this is a motion to direct only.

to clarify, right, a motion to direct on an ordinance has six objectors, but this is just a motion to direct.

The county administrator could come back and do the policy, and you will never see it ever again.
