It's never good to be mentioned in these sorts of investigative documents for anybody.
But let's just be clear about a few things.
Number one, this is what political karma looks like.
Donald Trump, Dan Bongino, Kash Patel, Pam Bondi, others in the MAGAverse.
For a long time, it hyped us up.
We need to release all the Epstein files.
So that's one thing.
You know, welcome to the law of action and reaction.
Then there's another thing.
Yes, Merrick Garland didn't charge Donald Trump because it is fair to assume that there was not evidence in there that merited charging.
And the reason that Merrick Garland didn't go out and try to release the files is that he shouldn't.
You shouldn't release grand jury files.
You shouldn't release transcripts of someone, at least in the long DOJ history, and DOJ, back to our conversation about...
You know, Reconstruction, I think, was founded under President Grant after the terrible Andrew Johnson period.
But the fact is that DOJ's history is you don't release information about people who are not actually charged because you don't want to unfairly tar and feather them in the public arena.
So until the Trump presidency took over, that was the guiding principle of DOJ.
Now they're just sort of stuck in the karma of their own rhetoric.
And this is where we are.
Could there be stuff in the files that looks bad for Trump simply beyond guilt by association?
Yes, of course there could be.
