And I'd got Ventolin, I got Becquetide inhalers, I got all these things because it was like, oh, you're getting induced asthma.
And it wasn't.
It was that stuff that was obviously, that thing of like jaws being very real in the back of my brain, seeing that happen to Ross became very, very real.
And it was real.
So that sort of played out a few times.
In competitions, I'd be like, what happens if I get out of breath halfway along the swimming pool?
What am I going to do?
All these little things just start going around in my head.
No, no, I wouldn't say.
I felt very lucky to do what I did.
in the pool because as a kid, just like you with gymnastics, you did something which, I mean, sport's a game and as kids we all like playing games.
It's a game, it's fun, it's joyous.
So all of a sudden I felt lucky that my job was swimming up and down the pool, something that I loved doing, something that was a game.
I knew it would come to an end at some point.
Did it make me think about things differently?
I generally say yes to everything.
I probably did originally, I don't know, but I kind of go, well,
My big thing is, how do you know you enjoy doing something unless you try it?
It's as stupid as, I went on holiday once with Vince years ago, and he went, how about we get some snails?
And I went, no, disgusting.
