It says, current voter ID requirements in New York registering to vote, a completed voter registration form, a valid form of identification, including a driver's license, non-driver's ID number, or the last four digits of a social.
If you do not have any of these forms of registration or identification, you can still register to vote by completing a mail-in paper registration form.
You need to show acceptable proof of identity and residency at your polling place on election day.
You don't need to show an ID when you go to vote.
But why not just show it when you go to vote if you already have it when you got registered?
Because some people don't have ID.
But that's how they got registered.
They could use their social media.
