I don't think he, who does nothing but post-conviction work, or me, who I hate doing post-conviction work, ever thought two years later we'd be standing here after 35 years with this wonderful family who I've grown to love like my own family.
And now we see the pot at the end of the rainbow, so to speak.
Let me kind of take it back.
And the gentleman that I had my arm on and who is the one of the two best post-conviction lawyers in America is Cliff Gardner.

And we talked about a letter that Andy Kano, who was Eric and Lyle's cousin, who there had been discovered after his untimely death.
A couple of years ago, they discovered a letter in his effects.
We talked about doing what's called a writ of habeas corpus, which is kind of when you've exhausted all of your post-conviction appellate remedies.
That's the writ of habeas corpus, which, by the way, is topical right now because there's a lot of talk about suspending that in regards to the current administration.
But the writ of habeas corpus, we thought about doing it in the brothers' names.
and then cliff and i decided why don't we just do it ourselves we then filed it the judge who originally heard it issued an order to show cause meaning he said there's something here and we were litigating that and gone along for about a year and then we finally kind of transformed that into a re-sentencing because a year ago january the law changed
And when the law changed, it allowed judges who previously had been restricted and could not re-sentence somebody after 120 days, it allowed them to initiate it.
Well, in this case, as you mentioned, George Gascon, the previous DA, he agreed to initiate it, which was important.
And he did it in October, lost in November.
And the next DA, a gentleman by the name of Nathan Hockman, has spent an inordinate amount of time trying to withdraw it and trying to block the resentencing.
Yesterday, we finally got, after many court appearances and many machinations, we finally were successful.
So it's been two years, basically, to the day.
so basically what now they've been re-sentenced right to first degree murder but with parole 50 which was 50 to life correct am i correct you're absolutely correct and with their good time work time which is the credits for when they've the time they've already served the 35 years they're immediately eligible for parole as a just coincidentally the governor had
instituted a clemency procedure.
