Uh just going back to the United Ireland message, many of the people who were on the streets would entirely agree with him uh on the question of unity, even if they wouldn't agree with him on anything else.
So perhaps he uh uh has had the advantage of somewhat discombobulating them.
Uh uh you know, i it's it's this whole issue about public protest and whether you in fact um uh uh make a statement that actually has any impact on public opinion or whether you spend your
afternoon going out thinking and feeling better about yourself.
I mean this is the only language that any of these people understand.
You know, to be fair to everybody who was out uh at the protest yesterday, all of them are entirely genuine in the uh opinions that they hold.
Um but you're dealing with a bunch of of incredibly cross people.
I mean Connolly gave a copy of uh Michael Longley's poem uh Ceasefire uh to Trump.
I mean you know it's it's it's over his head.

No, they haven't.
But they do point the the people you quote there are do point to something serious, which is uh the midterms.
I was talking to listening to something the other day uh involving a lot of people who are you know very expert in the whole question of of American politics.
But everything was done on the premise that the November elections are going to be run fairly.
The one thing that we can be absolutely certain about is that the American elections, midterm elections, will not be run fairly.
Everything possible will be done.
These people are not behaving like people.
And he's already said that he's going to uh mount a similar operation in the run up uh to uh the the the November I mean.
I was talking to some uh people in in various governments in the last few days and with quite a few people uh directing attention towards hap to what happened in Iceland in the last seventy two hours of the campaign, where there was a really directed external uh messaging uh at people aged between seven
