It could be the drivers saying, no, we're the people doing this.
We're the people that are driving these things and we want to have a proper driving contest.
We don't want to be managing an engineering bit of kit.
I mean, obviously, Formula One involves engineering, but that shouldn't be the driver's job just to manage that and not to have...
To have qualifying not defined by how close to the limit you can drive is a nonsense.
And that strikes at the very core of what the sport is.
And so if we don't have that, the regulations have failed at a fundamental level.

If the drivers were to act as a group and say, no, if we're tweaking this and tweaking that and it's still basically there, I think they do have the power if they could convince themselves to act as a group.

For such a long time.

But if a driver then stands up and says, what you've just been watching is just two algorithms working out a phase that wasn't actually an overtake.
Even if you're entertained by it, you then think, oh, really?
And if enough of that gets through, I think that could be a very โ not a long-lived thrill once it gets โ

So they're not expressing themselves in the car and they're not expressing themselves out of the car.
And I think the shame of it is one of the problems with the Venturi cars was they're just too big and heavy and not agile enough.
