The this car was always gonna be a huge step forward and what was going on above it was just it's neither here nor there in terms of the the the the the quality of the car that they were gonna put on the track.

And they'd made some great strides.

Yeah, he was a marketing guy.

He didn't have uh the nitty gritty um racing experience that was required for that role.

And particularly didn't have the uh the the the human skills or the not just communication but just in creating an environment and these these things are crucial.

Important in exploiting the talents of athletes like racing drivers, and you need to understand them.

They're all different, uh, they're all wired up differently, and they all need different things from from a car, but also from the team and from the people around them.

And his mentality very much aligned with that of his boss, Sergio.

Marcheoni, which is that, you know, from big business, um we're in charge, we we make plans, we're in control, we manage, you do as we say.

And that's that's where it started to go wrong.

I think um the you know, it was it was still a honeymoon period.

He's still, you know, getting to know all the the the people on the team.

Um they they were obviously very invested in him, the the the racing people on the team.

So yeah, no reason not to for him not to to to to have at least a

competitive season.

He he does and what he also does is start looking at the um the the the the weaknesses within the team and where they might improve and uh certainly in operationally and in the departments where where he thinks they could do with some beefing up and starts suggesting things um like in Australia.
