What surprised you most in this latest report and how are Irish organizations actually using AI?
Yeah, because I noticed that from the report that we're seeing big companies saving hours, saving thousands of hours a month through AI.
And why do you think small to medium enterprises aren't getting it?
Or what are the kind of core kind of rationale for that?
Yeah, and I agree with you.
My experience is the majority of companies have just got messy data.
And that's living in Excel, it's paper, it's living in email, some of it's on the CRM system.
And trying to have one source of the truth to try to have governance around that isn't straightforward.
Yeah, because you want to have context to help you with better decisions and ultimately, I think AI is a wonderful decision support that you can kind of work through.
So only 44% of organizations have a formal AI policy.
I thought it was interesting.
What's the minimum they should put in place to start using AI safely and effectively?
What advice would you offer there?
So having that accountability then as well.
And we find within AI projects, the reason why they fail, and it's called a multitude, but it's dirty data, inaccessibility of data, then there's kind of political, who should get access to that information.
And then it's just working on the wrong problem
Because you may solve the problem, but people might be like, doesn't really do anything.
It doesn't move that forward.
And then having that kind of governance around it and understanding, having that from the start, I'm guessing is very important rather than coming in at the end to go, okay, we need to fix this.
Seemingly there's this EUA I actually need to be careful for.
