He was in the regiment with me and he and he's looking at me going, Hm yeah, I don't know, no, I don't think so.

And and it was a good call, um, because it wasn't long before we finally got a little boat and uh they took us round to Tiannu and um and by then I was sort of going in and out of consciousness and then it just went like m uh downhill.

Big time, quickly.

I was really close to Don.

Um if they didn't get me into that coma.

Um they they really they they said, you know, um they were pretty concerned and then they had a really good guart keeping my leg.

Um I the I got there was five different surgeries to try and stop the the necrotizing fasciitis and they finally pulled it out but the next next stop was to cut the leg off.

Yeah.

So thank goodness they did.

No, yeah, I was asleep but but but I do recall clearly coming out of it.

Oh yeah.

It was uh it was like um quite amazing.

It was amazing coming out.

It was like uh I don't know what type of feeling you could explain, but um it was it was like, Oh, you know, you're coming alive but then I was like, Oh my god, can't see you know, it was blurry.

Oh yeah.

And I didn't realise they put down, you know, vents in your eyes to keep the keep your lids and uh bit of moisture on your eyes.
