I was like you know, and I was like everything was a blur, you know, I could make out a couple of people and then uh some lights and then it wasn't until I got that and then I saw, you know, there was uh my wife there that was um at the time and then there was my brother and my um sister there and it just a look on their face I was like, Oh, okay, though they were so relieved but you could see the agony and the pain, you know, the distress it was on there and I was thinking okay, something w has been bad has happened.

And I didn't know, you know, obviously I was like that, you know, I was close to death.

What a weird thing, eh?

Yeah.

But it wasn't like I was sort of going out to you know, dial up of course dodgy times.

Um probably just the different things that I've been involved in and I don't know.

Feels like sometimes I attracted a few fires, um, to put out.

Um but

yeah, yeah, no, I told her, yeah.

Mum was like Mum was so.

Did you text her that or nah well I didn't have a phone then, you know, but but uh mum was so interested in what we did, you know, like I remember, you know, she was endlessly asking us to send faxes, you know, where we were, what we were doing, you know.

I remember one time I was in Angola and I was on the sat phone to Dad 'cause they had no comms.

And then uh the and there was a big shootout just beside us.

And and Dad's going, Oh, what's that?

And I was like, Oh, listen to this and you know, and uh and that sort of thing.

But like mum and dad were quite into it, but they I think I think they were sort of living our life 'cause my brothers were doing some cool things too, you know.

I must read up.
