I interviewed him back in 2013.
He talked about the almost catastrophic failure of SpaceX, how it survived.
I actually fear that he not only does what he's saying, the fantasy might come true.
Then we're in trouble because if that's the case, the power accruing to one man, one company in this world and whatever colonized worlds he's progressing to would be unprecedented.
It would be absolute power of a kind we haven't seen.
Like a trillion dollars, by the way, would put SpaceX in the top 20 economies in the world in terms of GDP.
So he would be essentially establishing himself as the ruler of a powerful nation with obviously connection to the US government and then setting himself up to obviously implement a strategy that has no accountability.
Unless, as you say, you're alluding there that there's something hooky here and it's all just doolally nonsense.
There's some form of, this is what happens with Musk.
He'll promise the stars, literally, and deliver something that actually is a result.
He bought Twitter, folded it into SpaceX and his group of companies, so now it's worth more.
He has a habit of coming through with something.
I fear that something would be just more power accruing to him.
And I think that could be the case, you could argue, with the other AI companies as well.
And it mainly works to businesses rather than to individuals.
Well, there's been like rumors going around and people sort of constructing fantasies about a couple of years down the line.
We would become so dependent on American technology, they could just turn off the switch.
